I first visited Durdle Door during a work retreat in 2023. It was extremely hot on the day, but with good company, it was fun.
I’d been itching to visit again for some time, so my brother coming up to Bournemouth, for what is probably the final time whilst I'm living here, made for a good excuse.
It was just as hot this time around, but I was a little better prepared than last time. I’d actually brought swim shorts, for one. The cliffy Dorset coastline is one of the things I’ll miss most about living in Bournemouth. Having such a scenic spot nearby is a blessing, one that I hope I’ve not taken for granted over the past seven years.
The little beach at Durdle Door is like a mini paradise. You can get lost in time there, for hours, just lying on the pebbly beach – tiny pebbles, by the way, not those big fuckers that make getting to the sea a mission in endurance.
I’m always blown away by how quiet it is down by the coast in Dorset. Especially in the early mornings when beachgoers are yet in full force, it’s a remarkably calm place.
Below are some of the pictures I took during this recent visit. There are a few snaps of Harry for good measure, poser that he is.
Everything was taken on my final roll of expired AGFACOLOR 35mm, with a 200 ISO.
